The SCARY FACE

So, here we have a nice little make-up post, featuring some artwork, all over my face.

Oooooh and while I'm blogging I think I'll add that I dyed my hair at some point in this Christmassy week. No more weird gingery stripy hair with weird blacky roots, now I'm all reddy brown- yay!

Oh, and while I'm still blogging, screw Clegg for breaking all his promises and screw Cameron for just generally being a shiny-faced bastard.

And now I'd talk about some more stuff, but I have salt-dough gifts to check on!

My new obsession!

Ok, I have found a new obsession.

He happens to live in London.

He also happens to travel to school with one of my best friends

He is stylish and oh so gorgeous.

He is confident and kooky.

He is so cute it makes me want to cry.

He is short but in a really sweet way.

He is intelligent too and very quirky.

But I will never be able to date him- he is off limits.

God, I'm so jealous of Miranda- she spends all her time with him now. He loves her so much, he's always with her, holding her close and hanging around her. She's even going to start bringing him shopping with us- without even asking us! I don't think I can spend that much time around him without breaking down screaming "I love you!" :'(

Protests

Ok, so I rarely even blog, but I found something that I really want to talk about and which actually holds some importance, so here we go.

Thanks to the crappy state of the economy and the need for cuts in funding, the government wants to TRIPLE tuition fees to cost £9000 max.

Of course, this is ridiculous as many people will not be able to afford to go to college or university. These people will be left without the necessary degrees to get any of the good jobs to 1) give them a stable future and 2) support the future economy.

As it is those with less money who won't be able to afford university education, the difference between middle and lower class will grow a lot larger. This will also make it more difficult for families to bridge the gap- those born into families lacking in money will not get enough education to get a good job and so they will not be able to become lawyers or doctors.

Of course, if these people cannot become lawyers or doctors, it will only be the middle class who can fill these jobs. This will result in not enough people to fill these jobs- though perhaps that's what the government needs, as they are cutting the health sector too and many people will lose their jobs.

So, what? Does the coalition want to leave us with no future, no jobs and a massive gap between two similar classes? Whatever the hell they're trying to achieve, it's not going to be good for this country.

So, yes, CRAZILY ENOUGH, students are protesting against this.

Yesterday and next Tuesday, too, people have been and will be walking out of school to go to the protest in the centre of London. The media picks up on all the negative information- "yobs vandalise car" or "student vandals shout obscenities", but hey, the media will always pick up the rubbish side of things (especially the daily mail ahem-hem) Some people say it's dumb- walking out of your education to protest about losing future education- but is it really better to just sit around and watch so many people's futures be snatched away from them? Without the protests, would the government even have thought twice about tripling fees?

Sad as it is, even after that little rant, I didn't make it out of school yesterday cause the door was being guarded and I couldn't get over the fence, but some people made it out or just didn't come into school in the first place and ya know what? I salute them :)

that's right, if you went to the protest, go you.

The Clockwork Orange

Ok, so I know I only just posted something and I really should space posting out, but I really can't be arsed. I actually did the last makeup ages ago and only just got round to posting it.

I did this makeup today and Matty (who you eager readers can find on my list of followers if you're just that desperate, but don't worry, I do realise that your not existing might make that a teensy bit difficult) gave me the idea. It's originally inspired by the clockwork orange, which no I have not seen but I really want to- particularly as it has inspired my makeup pretty often- even before I had so much as heard of it.

I also based the makeup on what Gerard Way and Pete Wentz have done before-

No one can deny that Gee looks amazing in that pic (for any idiots out there or just people lacking in their knowledge of my chemical romance, Gerard is the one in the white shirt)

anyway, after all that and without further ado, here it is, probably disappointing after the whole long talk about it.

makeup used: RIMMEL London 061 jet black pencil eyeliner (like it really matters what brand of eyeliner you use), the Body Shop shimmer smudger shade 07 and black Barry M liquid eyeliner. To be honest you could probably just do this whole thing with a pencil eyeliner, but it looks a teensy bit better with more resources.

lastly, if anyone (flossie, martha, mirri or anyone else who finds themselves on this blog) has any makeup tutorial needs (haven't ever tried one of them and I could try to make one i spose) or any general requests then just comment... for god's sake comment I need to feel appreciated!

eye eye!

ok, so this started out great- i did one eye fine, and the other one looked good too, but then I took the first picture and realised that the eyes didn't match! I looked totally retarded.

So, I added more and more to the eyes, in a poor attempt to make them match and they just got worse. So I'm going to show you 1st, the way the eyes on eyes should have looked and then i'll show you how these ones went totally wrong!

so yeah, turns its pretty difficult to a) make both of your eyes match when you can only see one at a time and b) to draw eyes on your own eyes

so I leave you with this message: to avoid looking like a freak in the bad way, get someone else to do your strange and creepy eye makeup for you!
